Known - Connection

We all long to be known.    Peter's story is that he was one of the Twelve disciples and he was one of the three in the closer circle of Jesus Christ. Peter was seen and understood in this close relationship with Jesus and the disciples as they lived, worked, and experienced life together for three years. He was accepted and felt connected. Yet, part of Peter's story is that he couldn't stay awake for his close friend who expressed his distress and sorrow and hours later Peter ended up denying knowing his beloved friend.  Jesus knew where to find Peter. He knew the empty net to full net would echo to Peter his first encounter with Jesus. Jesus knew Peter would be hungry after fishing all night. He knew Peter. January Newsletter

SHANNON’S CORNER Winter Blast… Brr. It’s cold outside.  Winter is not a favorite season for many people, but I love winter. The doctor was telling us, the home director, house parent, and myself (nurse) the importance of the child to stay in the hospital to receive the treatment. The house director and house parent asked me if I could talk to the doctor. After more discussion, I told the doctor that I would be responsible for the IV therapy treatment and care for the child back in the comfort of the child’s home. The doctor looked blankly at me like I was talking gibberish to him. I was not yet fluent in Spanish and my pro...
